主旨・開催概要
当コンクール並びに音楽祭は，青少年が音楽と向き合い，目標をもって自分に挑戦することで，自らが成長し，真の音楽に対する感動を得ることができる機会を提供することを目的とする。またコンテストの域を越え，国や民族の文化遺産であるクラシック音楽の理解と普及を推進し，そしてそれを目指す若い音楽家を発掘することや障がい児・者への音楽の関わり方を啓蒙・啓発することで，異なる地域の「人」や「文化」の共存，発展，活性化を図り，国際交流の促進に繋げる。
About Kyoto International
Music Competition
As part of the Kyoto International Music Festival, we would like to announce Kyoto International Music Competition. The purpose of this event is to provide a stage for young people to grow through music. The event’s theme is 「Be the Only One」. It is our hope that the youth of both countries will be able to challenge themselves and form deeper bonds of friendship at the competition.
We believe that the common cultural heritage of our countries can cross national and ethnic groups. While aiming to discover excellent young talent in the field of classical music, it is our desire to show the power of music to all, regardless of ethnicity or ability. Furthermore, the event will promote cultural development and exchange on both regional and international levels.
